All the matters related to cuisine, our products, legend, history, traditions, present and future is the working field for the Basque Brotherhood of Gastronomy, with the aim to assemble like minded individuals that can contribute with knowledge, experience and work for the consecution of these goals without giving up of the ludic side of these experiences.

The Basque Brotherhood of Gastronomy is continuously in touch with its members through periodical circulars and the publishing of a journal, with a didactic purpose, assembling articles of well known gastronomes, suinmary's of seminars, lessons, competitions and talks,.. organised by the Brotherhood, also giving the chance for all the members experienced or beginner in gastronomic literature to learn and share in fellow members knowledge and their experience in gastronomy.

Together with the Brotherhoods of the Elver of Hendaye, the Pigeon of Sara and the Saumon of the Bidasoa of Irun we constitued the Federation of Gastronomic Brotherhoods (FECOGA) that groups 38 brotherhoods of Southwest France and Northwest Spain.

In 1992 participating in the constitution of the Basque Academy of Gastronomy being the only society that was considered as member in the statutes and collaborating in the preparation of the Gastronomic and cultural guide of the Basque Country.

Our Brotherhood has a place in the Old Town of San Sebastian, where all the members can cook and enjoy in the gastronomic pleasures such as in the gastronomic clubs, one of the most characteristic and traditional organisations of the Basque Country.
