- The first OSP program is now on Internet -

This is a simple program to edit Windows extensions and file association. I decided to do this program because editing Extensions in Windows '95 is very difficult. This program is made with Borland Delphi 2.0

This is the first window you will see when you start the program. It is the main menu, and you can do all the possible things from here. There are many icons, each of them has a concrete function.

You can add new extensions to the system, new actions to an existing extension, delete actions, extensions and change the asociated icon of an extension.

Here you will be able to change the icon:

You can also choose an alternate file from where to get the icon. This file must a be file type supported by windows (ICO, DLL, ICL or EXE)

You can also specify that this file type will use itself as an icon. For example, ICO files, ANI files or Windows EXE files use themselves as an icon. This option can be set by clicking on the 'Own icon' checkbox.

Known bugs

There is a small bug in the program. Well, it is not a really bug, it's only a problem with negative icon indexes in libraries. So, if you try to change the icon of a file that has a negative index, try to reach first index 0 and then choose starting from zero. Doing this way you will see all the icons in the correct order.

You can download my program from here clicking this link:

This program is freeware. You can distribute freely this program (I encourage you to do it!) without any modification, and the author (me ;)) has no responsabilities on the damage you can cause to your computer by using this program in incorrect ways.

So, if you decide to download this program, and then decide to use it (or not), send me an e-mail with your comments, critics (also accepted), ideas and bugs (I'm sure that there are more bugs than I have found so far) to oscarrg@mx3.redestb.es. I promise that all will be read and posted.

If the connection is too slow, let me know. I will send you the file by e-mail.
